Projects with a Purpose:

Building Community.

We have officially opened and started working on projects.

Seeing neighbors, partners, and friends come together reminded us why this Shed exists—to create a welcoming place where skills are shared, friendships are built, and community grows stronger. The conversations, laughter, and support we experienced reaffirm our mission and energize us for what’s ahead.

We are grateful for everyone who helped make this opening possible and for those who took time to celebrate with us.

Going forward, our plan is to be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am until 1 pm. We will continue to work on veteran flag display cases and the twin bed frames. We hope to see you there!‍ ‍

Please note our weather cancellation policy. If Midland Public Schools are cancelled or delayed to start after 9 am, the Community Shed will cancel that day’s activities.

The Shed is Officially Open

The Community Shed of Mid Michigan was proud to deliver handcrafted twin bed frames to Home To Stay, supporting their mission to help families transition into safe, stable housing.

Built by our dedicated volunteers, these beds represent more than just furniture — they reflect our commitment to serving neighbors in need with dignity and care.

We’re grateful to our members and donors who make projects like this possible, strengthening our community one build at a time.
